The Bordallo Pinheiro Cloudy Butterflies Vase brings the collection's painterly naturalism to a mantel, an entry console, or the center of a dining table. Created with Claudia Schiffer, it's hand-painted earthenware with butterflies scattered across a soft ivory ground in the loose, slightly abstract style that defines the range.
The Portuguese house has been producing naturalistic ceramics in Caldas da Rainha since the 1880s, and each vase carries the small variations that come with painting by hand — no two are exactly alike. Substantial enough to hold a full arrangement, and worth leaving out empty.
Hand-painted earthenware. Made in Portugal. Hand wash recommended to protect the painted finish.
