The Stephen Wilson Studio Aspen Petite Wall Art in Gucci White is the studio's Western cowboy hat — feather, playing cards and all — worked in yarn, appliqué and embroidery and mounted in relief over a cream Gucci box in a small, collectible format.
Stephen Wilson Studio works in embroidery, appliqué and collage over up-cycled luxury packaging — the boxes, shopping bags and silk scarves of the great fashion houses — stitched directly through the original material, mounted in relief and framed in acrylic. Each piece is made individually by hand, signed and numbered on the back; small differences in fabric placement and embroidered detail are part of what makes every one collectible.
