Falda Vase in White, 10.5 in

The Rosenthal Falda Vase in White is one of the house's most quietly confident designs. Sebastian Herkner gave a classic bulbous body a pleated collar that opens outward like a flower, so the vase does two things at once: it takes an arrangement more easily than a narrow neck allows, and it reads as sculpture when it's empty.

Finished in matte white porcelain, it carries an Art Deco echo without being period. Rosenthal has been making fine porcelain in Selb, Bavaria since 1879, and Studio-Line is where it puts its designers to work.
