The Martha Calvo Aster Necklace strings lapis lazuli into a strand of deep, saturated blue, punctuated with pavé crystal accents. Lapis has an unusual density of color — closer to ink than to sky — and as a natural stone it varies from bead to bead rather than reading flat. Against black or cream it's striking; against denim it's unexpectedly at home.
