ASKK NY's aim is to make timeless denim the core of every wardrobe. The label is created in New York and made in Los Angeles, and the jeans here are 10 oz Japanese denim, 98 percent cotton with 2 percent stretch. The shapes are vintage without being costume: a barrel curve from hip to hem, a wide leg with horn-button pockets, an ankle-length Brighton with a fray hem.
Fit: product pages list rise, inseam and leg opening and win over any rule here. For reference, the Twisted Barrel has a 13 inch rise and 28 inch inseam; the Cropped Brighton a 12 inch rise and 30 inch inseam. See women's jeans for Pistola, Joe's Jeans and AGOLDE, and wear the barrel with Charlotte Stone loafers.
Questions we get about ASKK NY
Is ASKK NY denim stretchy?
Barely. It's 98 percent cotton with 2 percent stretch, so it wears closer to rigid denim than a stretch jean.
What is the Brighton?
ASKK NY's best-selling jean, here as the Cropped Brighton: ankle length with a fray hem.
