About this edit

Archivist at CHROME

Archivist is a British family business founded by William and Sarah Allardice. It began in the archives of the Natural History Museum and now prints its cards and matchboxes on its own letterpress.

The matches are made to sit out: square boxes, long-match boxes for candles and fireplaces, large cylinders and glass match bottles, illustrated with holiday scenes, nutcrackers, gingerbread houses, dachshunds, cats, moons and suns. They are an easy add-on to a candle gift or a hostess gift on their own, and look good on a coffee table or bar cart year-round. Letterpress birthday and thank-you cards round out the edit.
