Western designs have long been a part of the Studio's aesthetic. Inspired by the landscapes and iconic imagery of cowboys, horses, and Americana, these themes have shaped the work since Stephen created his Americana series in 2018. The petites showcase symbols like horses, cacti, and other western motifs, crafted with yarn, embroidery, and appliqué. Each Stephen Wilson Studio Petite Aspen begins with upcycled luxury boxes or shopping bags, which are trimmed, collaged, and embroidered to form the background shape. The embroidery is stitched directly through the box itself, with intricate stitches that make each piece one-of-a-kind. The western icons are then applied in relief, adding depth and dimension to create a truly three-dimensional artwork.

Each petite is framed and mounted in acrylic.

About the Artist:

Stephen Wilson masterfully creates timeless, one-of-a-kind designs using sustainable materials. Each artwork begins with an upcycled luxury bag, box, silk scarf, or album, which serves as the foundation for his intricate designs. Wilson carefully crafts bespoke embroidery, hand-stitching each thread with precision. Once the design, colors, and elements are thoughtfully chosen, the process moves into the assembly phase. The upcycled materials are transformed into stunning canvases, where the embroidery seamlessly integrates, adding texture and life to the piece. Appliqués, patches, and butterflies are individually stitched and delicately placed, elevating each creation into a unique masterpiece. Finally, each piece is elegantly encased in an acrylic frame, ready to captivate and inspire all who view it.

We only offer store credit for returns. Items must be returned unworn, unwashed and smoke, deodorant and perfume free. All original tags must be attached (please note that some items purchased online might not have tags). We reserve the right to refuse a return if these conditions are not met.
